What’s the difference between Komo and EasyWay?

  • Komo: For everyday payments, transfers, and spending. 
  • EasyWay: For managing and growing your EastWest accounts and other banking products like credit and loans. 

 

I already have EasyWay. Why do I need Komo?
Komo complements EasyWay by giving you a separate savings account for your everyday spending, payments and transfers. Plus, enjoy up to ₱2 million in combined PDIC insurance coverage across your eligible Komo and EastWest deposit accounts. 

 

What makes Komo better than a wallet?
Unlike other wallet, Komo account earns 2.5% p.a. even higher than most savings account in the market while it serves the convenience of a wallet. With Komo, you can scan any QR code to pay and transfer funds with zero fees. 
 

How do I open a Komo account? 
Download the Komo app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Account opening is fully digital — you need only one valid government-issued ID. No branch visit and no initial deposit are required.

 

Can I transfer money between my EastWest account and Komo? 
Yes. You can conveniently transfer funds between your EastWest account and Komo for free

 

Does Komo have a minimum balance requirement? 
Yes. The minimum maintaining balance is at Php 2,000.

 

Is my Komo Savings account interest earning? 
Yes, Komo Savings earns 2.5% interest rate per annum for your first Php 500,000. 1.5% interest rate p.a. for the next Php 1,500,000 and 1% interest p.a for remaining balance beyond Php 2,000,000.

 

Is my Komo Savings PDIC-insured? 
Yes. Komo deposits are insured by PDIC up to the maximum coverage allowed by law. Together with your eligible EastWest deposit accounts, you may enjoy up to ₱2 million in combined PDIC insurance coverage.

 

Does my Komo Savings account come with a debit card? 
Yes, your Komo comes with a virtual debit card that you may use for e-commerce and other online transactions. Should you want to have a physical debit card, you may order one for Php 200 pesos.

 

Can I pay using QR Ph with Komo? 
Yes, you may use Komo to scan any merchants QR code via QR Ph. No fees.

 

Can I buy mobile load on Komo? 
You can conveniently purchase prepaid mobile load for supported providers, including Globe, Smart, TNT, Sun, and DITO.  Choose from regular load, data packages, or combo offers, with no additional service fees. You can even buy load for family and friends by entering their mobile number.

 

What can ESTA help me with?

Who can register on EasyWay?
Any EastWest Bank customer with an existing CASA or credit card accounts can choose to link their account on EasyWay.  For customers new to EastWest, CASA account opening is available on EasyWay app. No need to visit the store.

 

How do I register?

Follow the steps below:
1. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play. 
2. Tap ‘Register’ and agree to the Terms & Conditions. 
3. Choose a verification method (Account, Debit Card, or Credit Card). 
4. Enter your details, request an OTP, and input the code. 
5. Create your username and password. 

 

How do I open an account on EasyWay?

Follow the steps below:  
1. Download the EasyWay App. 
2. Tap "Apply for a Product" 
3. Select the product type you want and complete the application steps.
