Manila, Philippines— EastWest has been named “Philippines Domestic Technology & Operations Bank of the Year” at the 2025 Asian Banking & Finance (ABF) Wholesale Banking Awards in Singapore, recognizing the Bank’s transformative efforts in making enterprise cash management simpler, smarter, and more accessible for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through its flagship platform, EasyBiz.

Designed around the needs of dynamic entrepreneurs and fast-growing businesses, EasyBiz delivers a fully digital experience that unifies disbursements, collections, liquidity visibility, and financial reporting into one seamless interface.
Since its launch in March 2024, EasyBiz has facilitated business payments and collections while streamlining onboarding for clients, reducing turnaround times from five days to just three. It also introduced a first-in-market Digital Business Bundle. This package, tailored for new-to-bank small and medium enterprise clients, waived traditional fees, access, and required average daily balances for a year to help business owners start strong.
“Entrepreneurs want tools that work as fast as they do,” said Martin Reyes, Head of Marketing and Cash Management at EastWest. “EasyBiz was built so clients can review cash positions, run payroll, and send payments all from a single screen without friction, and without waiting.”

Martin Reyes, EastWest Head of Marketing and Cash Management, receives the award onstage and shares how the team continues to shape solutions that make banking simpler and more meaningful for businesses.
Behind its ease of use lies a secure and scalable architecture that supports rapid integration with core banking and payment systems. Through this foundation, EastWest rolled out features like collection, disbursement, liquidity management, payroll, and even government payments, a testament to its client-first design. With a strong uptake from new SME clients and a substantial increase in deposits, EasyBiz has proven to be both a technological leap and a commercial win.
As EastWest continues to scale EasyBiz nationwide, it is staying true to its purpose: enabling clients to bank more intuitively, manage with greater clarity, and thrive with confidence, day in and day out.
