Frequently Asked Questions

To apply for an EastWest Personal Loan, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Filipino citizen or a local resident foreigner
  • Principal loan applicant must be at least 21 years old and not more than 65 years old upon loan maturity
  • Have a Gross (basic) monthly income (GMI) of at least Php 15,000.00 or basic annual income of not less than Php 180,000.00

For “Employed” employment type - proof of income documents
Any 1 of the following:

  1. Latest ITR / BIR Form 2316
  2. Latest three (3) months payslips
  3. Certificate of Employment stating salary, position, and employment date

 

For “Self-Employed” employment type - proof of business documents
Any 1 of the following:

  1. Photocopy of the latest ITR/BIR Form 1701 or Audited Financial statement
  2. DTI Registration Certificate or SEC registration certificate
  3. Business Permit or Mayors Permit

Accepted IDs include the following?

  • Driver's License
  • Passport
  • Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID
  • SSS ID
  • BIR ID
  • Postal ID
  • Unified Multi-Purpose ID (UMID)
  • Voter’s ID
  • Senior Citizen ID
  • OFW ID

Follow the steps below:

  1. Open the app, tap “Apply Now”, then select “Personal Loans”.
  2. Prepare the required documents for your application.
  3. Review and agree to the Application Agreement and Data Privacy Policy, then tap “Get Started”.
  4. Verify your application using an OTP. (Note: International mobile numbers are supported.)
  5. Answer the pre-qualification questions, then tap “Continue”.
  6. Choose your preferred Personal Loan, then tap “Continue”.
  7. Enter your personal information.
  8. Nominate your preferred name to be displayed on the card, then tap “Continue”.
  9. Enter a Promo/Invite Code (if applicable).
  10. Capture a photo of your ID and a selfie, then tap “Continue”.
  11. Provide additional details and upload the required documents.
  12. Review your application, then tap “Submit”.

Loan processing typically takes 5 to 7 banking days from the date of submission of complete documents. Please note that submitted documents will not be returned.

Processing your application may be delayed due to the following:

  • Incomplete documents
  • Discrepancies in the provided information 
  • Bank representative is unable to verify the submitted contact details

If additional verification or document is needed, a representative may contact you.

Yes, there is a one-time loan processing fee of Php 1,900.00 when loan is availed. It will be deducted from your loan proceeds.
