Frequently Asked Questions

Buy Foreign Currency allows users to perform real-time US Dollar* Foreign Exchange (FX) trading services via EasyBiz. Conveniently transfer from your own PHP account to your eligible USD account based on indicative FX rates from the Daily Reference Bulletin Rate provided by EastWest Treasury. 

 *Currently applicable to USD only. Other currencies to be available soon. 

Eligible accounts for Buy FX: 

  • BizAccess Account, or any Corporate Savings Account 
  • Corporate Checking Account 

 

However, the following accounts  are NOT eligible. 

  • Time Deposit Account 
  • Prepaid Cards 
  • Loan Accounts 
  • CASA Accounts with restrictions (i.e. Cash Basis Only, Dormant, Garnished) 

You need at least one (1) active source PHP account and one (1) active receiver USD account enrolled in EasyBiz.  

Both accounts must have no transaction restrictions. Please check your account settings before making a transaction. 

Currently, Buy FX transactions via EasyBiz are FREE of charge. 

Conversions will be based on indicative FX rates from the Daily Reference Bulletin Rate provided by EastWest Treasury. The rates applied for transactions done via EasyBiz are standard for all business clients. For preferred, or special rate arrangements, please contact your Store of Account.

  • Appropriate Business Documentation
    • Sole Proprietorship: DTI Certificate of Registration​
    • Partnership: Partnership Resolution​
    • Corporation: Board Resolution or Secretary’s Certificate
