Promo Mechanics and Terms & Conditions

Free Card, Phone & Call Promo with Sun Cellular
  1. Promo period is from April 30 to August 31, 2010 ("Promo Period").
  2. Promo is open only to non-EastWest Bank Credit Cardholders who will apply for an EastWest Bank Credit Card ("EWBC Card") as principal cardholders within the Promo Period and whose applications will be approved. Only EWBC Card applications submitted through any of the following channels shall be included in the promo:
    • EastWest Bank Customer Service at 888-1700
    • EastWest Bank website at www.eastwestbanker.com
    • EastWest Bank Branch (list of the branches is available at EastWest Bank website stated above)
    • Participating Sun Cellular Business Center/Shop (list of participating business centers is available at Sun Cellular website at www.suncellular.com.ph)
    Note: Processing of applications for EWBC Card is subject to the existing credit policies and procedures of EastWest Bank. A card applicant will not qualify for the promo if he/she falls under any of the following:
    • He/she has an existing EWBC Card
    • He/she cancelled his/her previously issued EWBC Card within the promo period and is applying for a new one to avail of the promo
  3. An EastWest Bank Credit Cardholder who: [a] qualifies for the promo ("Promo Cardholder") and; [b] will subscribe to and is approved for a Sun Cellular Postpaid Plan 350 shall be entitled to the following
    ("Promo Offer"):
    • FREE mobile phone
      (The Promo Cardholder may choose any phone unit from the suite of mobile phones currently bundled with Sun Cellular’s Postpaid Plan 350. For mobile phones under a 30-month holding period, corresponding cash-out must be paid. List of mobile phones available for the promo is found at Sun Cellular website at www.suncellular.com.ph)
    • FREE Call & Text Unlimited for the first five (5) months of a 24-month subscription
      (Covers only local Sun-to-Sun calls and text messages that will be made by the Promo Cardholder. Any charges that will be incurred by the Promo Cardholder who availed of the Promo Offer, on top of the P350 monthly subscription fee for the "Call & Text Unlimited" shall be charged to him/her through the auto-charge facility of EWBC Card.)
  4. The Promo Cardholder will be entitled to receive the Promo Offer if he/she meets all of the following conditions:
    • He/she activates his/her new EWBC Card prior to redemption of the Promo Offer on or before the redemption deadline of November 30, 2010.
    • He/she subscribes to a pre-approved Sun Cellular Postpaid Plan 350 ("Plan 350"), subject to a 24-month holding period, at any participating Sun Cellular Outlet.
    • He/she charges the entire value of the remaining holding period of 19 months of the Postpaid subscription consisting of a Monthly Service Fee ("MSF") of P350, to his/her new EWBC Card under 0% Installment Plan. He/she must be in good credit standing* and have an available credit limit of at least P7,000 with his/her EWBC Card when he/she avails of the Promo Offer. If the installment transaction with the EWBC Card is unsuccessful, he/she will not be eligible to avail of the Promo Offer.
    • He/she enrolls in EWBC Card’s auto-charge facility for all phone/service charges in excess of the P350 MSF to be charged automatically to his/her new EWBC Card. (Note: If the Promo Cardholder wishes to continue his Plan 350 subscription after its 24-month holding period, the sum of P350 MSF and any excess phone/service charges shall be charged to his/her EWBC Card via its auto-charge facility effective immediately thereafter.)
    • He/she shall deposit the equivalent of one (1) month’s advance MSF worth P350 and other related fees to be charged to his/her new EWBC Card at the time of obtaining the subscription to the Plan 350. The advance MSF will be credited back to the Promo Cardholder’s Plan 350 account at the end of 24-month holding period net of any outstanding charges.
  5. The Promo Cardholder will receive, together with his/her new EWBC Card, a Welcome Letter containing the Claim Voucher, promo details and the auto-charge enrollment forms. To redeem the Promo Offer, the Promo Cardholder must present the following at any participating Sun Cellular outlet listed at the back of the Welcome Letter:
    • The Welcome Letter cum Claim Voucher duly signed by the Promo Cardholder;
    • The new EWBC Card under the name of the Promo Cardholder;
    • Original and photocopy of a valid ID with photo and signature of the Promo Cardholder
    Note: The Welcome Letter cum Claim Voucher, auto-charge enrollment forms and photocopy of ID must be submitted at the Sun Cellular outlet.
  6. EWBC Card’s installment and auto-charge facilities’ Terms and Conditions will apply.
  7. The Promo Offer cannot be changed or exchanged for cash.
  8. In the event that the EWBC Card of the Promo Cardholder who has availed of the Promo Offer is cancelled, whether voluntary or involuntary, or his/her Plan 350 is pre-terminated before the end of the 24-month holding period, EastWest Bank shall charge a processing fee of P5,000 to his/her EWBC Card. In addition, the respective terms and conditions of Sun Cellular and those regarding the use of EWBC Card shall apply.
  9. All complaints regarding defective mobile phone as well as the services of Sun Cellular in connection with the Plan 350 shall be handled by Sun Cellular.
  10. In case of disputes relating to this promo, EastWest Bank’s decision, in concurrence with DTI, will be final.
  11. The Promo Offer cannot be availed of in conjunction with other ongoing EWBC Card acquisition or Sun Cellular promotions unless otherwise specified.
* Cardholders in good credit standing are those whose accounts are not delinquent, not under investigation due to suspected fraudulent activities, those whose EastWest Bank Credit Cards are not reported lost or stolen, and those who have not, otherwise, violated any of the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest Bank Credit Cards.
