PROMO MECHANICS

  1. Promo period is from June 4 to August 31, 2010.
  2. The promo is open to all EastWest Bank Credit ("Cardholders") in good credit standing.*
  3. To avail of the Balance Transfer Promo, the Cardholder must call the EastWest Bank Customer Service Hotline 888-1700 to request for a Balance Transfer Application Form.
  4. The Balance Transfer amount must be at least Php3,000 and should not exceed 85% of the Cardholder's total available credit limit at the time of application approval. EastWest Bank (EWBC) has the sole discretion to approve only a part of the amount applied for.
  5. Upon approval of the Balance Transfer application, EWBC shall settle the approved Balance Transfer amount directly to the payment center or depository bank of the non-EastWest Bank credit card issuer. EWBC shall not be liable for any interest, over-payment, fees and charges incurred from late payment of the non-EastWest Bank credit card account/s. In the meantime, the cardholder should continue to settle at least the minimum amount due on his non-EastWest Bank credit card.
  6. In case of pre-termination an Installment Pre-termination Processing Fee of 5% of the remaining principal balance or Php500 whichever is higher shall be billed.
  7. Once approved, the first monthly amortization of the Balance Transfer amount will be posted in the Cardholder's next Statement of Account. Each fixed monthly installment forms part of the total statement balance. Should the Cardholder opt to pay only the minimum payment due, this will include only a percentage of the monthly installment, in which case a finance charge will be imposed in addition to the applicable interest due on the monthly installment.

    9. * Cardholders in good credit standing are those whose accounts are not delinquent,  not under investigation due to suspected fraudulent activities, those whose  EastWest Bank Credit Cards are not reported lost or stolen, and those who have not,  otherwise, violated any of the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest Bank Credit Cards.
