EAST WEST BANK OPENS TACLOBAN BRANCH
East West Bank (EWB) expanded its nationwide presence as it inaugurated its 68th branch in Tacloban in Eastern Visayas last February 24, 2006 in the presence of special guests who made this event a special one. Tacloban Mayor Bejo Romualdez and Mrs. Joanne Ortiz, one of the branch's most valued clients, performed the ribbon cutting ceremony. Tacloban Congresswoman Matin Petilla graced the event with her presence and expressed her warmest wishes for East West Bank's success in her district and in the whole province of Leyte.
EWB President Elrey T. Ramos, led the Bank's team of officers who were also present to witness Tacloban branch's official unveiling: Senior Consultant and Special Assistant to the President Mr. Ismael R. Sandig, FVP Antonio A. Castro, Visayas Area Head Ms. Evangeline A. Mosqueda, and Mr. Jason Rusell O. Aguilar of Marketing Support Services.
Monsignor Alex Opiniano officiated the blessing of the branch. Dinner followed at the Leyte Park Resort Hotel. Mr. Ramos gave an inspirational talk where he clearly emphasized that EWB is committed to giving only the best in banking services.
