EASTWEST BANK JOINS HARIBON IN TREE-PLANTING DRIVE
EastWest Bank has joined Haribon Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources, Inc. in a tree-planting drive that hopes to fill one million hectares of forests by 2020.
The Haribon Coinbanks Project is a fund-raising effort that hopes to engage the public in a mass-giving program utilizing coinbanks. These coinbanks are now found at the counters of EastWest Bank branches all over Metro Manila and Luzon.
The fund-raising effort is expected to generate resources that will help Haribon collect seeds from mother trees, establish tree nurseries and engage in nationwide tree-planting activities. Through this project, EastWest Bank and Haribon hope to bring back lost biodiversity and ensure that life is sustained for the next generations.
More coinbanks will be delivered to the rest of the EastWest Bank branches in the days to come.
EastWest Bank is part of the Filinvest Group of Companies, which has interests in property development, agribusiness, banking and finance. EastWest Bank has 77 branches all over the country.
