EAST WEST BANK JOINS FILINVEST'S BENEFIT RUN

With its continued commitment to demonstrate their social responsibility, East West Banking Corporation joined the ranks of Filinvest Group of Companies for the "Filinvest Run for a Child" held recently at Filinvest Corporate City (FCC) in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

The fun run was held on the occasion of Filinvest Development Corporation's 50th anniversary and FCC's 10th anniversary. The event was a chance to celebrate the success of the two pioneering firms under the Filinvest Group as well as a way to give back all their successes to the community that made them reach 50 golden years.

The fun run benefited the Educational Research and Development (ERDA) Foundation, an institution founded in 1974 by Jesuit priest Fr. Pierre Tritz to rescue impoverished kids and give them a new life by educating them and developing their skills.

East West Bank, also a company under the Filinvest Group, extended its support to the activity by sending its executives, VIP clients, other client-partners, family members and friends from EWB's Personal Banking Centers (PBCs) in Metro Manila to run alongside officers, employees, clients and friends of other companies under the Filinvest Group.

The proceeds totaling to more than P 3.225M will be used to support ERDA's mission of sending poor children to elementary school and provide them the school materials they need such as books and uniforms, as well as for their transportation expenses.

Filinvest has committed to help the education of some of the kids under ERDA's care for one whole year.
